Lane President Mary Spilde appointed to workforce board
EUGENE - Dr. Mary Spilde, president of Lane Community College, has been appointed to the State Workforce Investment Board by Governor Ted Kulongoski. Her term begins April 15, effective upon Senate confirmation.
Spilde served on the State Workforce Quality Council for six years, appointed by two consecutive governors. She became Lane's sixth president in 2001, after serving as vice president for instructional and student services from 1997-2001, and as vice president for instructional services from 1995-97.
