The Writing Center is an important support system for the students at Lane Community College. Not only do tutors help students with all phases of the writing process—brainstorming ideas, developing a thesis, and discussing structure or grammar issues—but also provide a safe haven for new or returning students who feel unfamiliar in the college setting. As a drop-in tutoring service, The Writing Center offers one-to-one conferencing with Lane students. Writing tutors give students the moral support they need to build their confidence and keep moving toward their educational goals.

Come in and explore The Writing Center!
