Welcome to the Language, Literature, and Communication division.
We are made up of three departments:
The English Department teaches composition, creative writing, technical writing, literature, and film studies classes. The Writing Center offers one-to-one tutoring on papers written for any class at LCC.
The Language Studies Department offers two years of study in French, Spanish, and Chinuk Wawa (from 101 to 203), satisfying graduation requirements of the Oregon University System.
The Speech and Communication Studies Department offers courses that focus on oral communication in a number of contexts, including interpersonal communication, group communication, professional communication, cultural communication, and public speaking. The department also offers courses in Forensics and supports the LCC student debate team.
