Off Campus Database Access

Lane Library subscribes to various online resources. Use of these resources is limited to current Library patrons. Most links to these resources connect directly from the Library's Research Databases, Online Encyclopedias, and Dictionaries webpage.  To gain access to the resources from off campus, you will be prompted to enter your last name, "L" number, and ExpressLane password.

Directions:

  1. Select a link from the Library's Research Databases, Online Encyclopedias, and Dictionaries webpage.
  2. If you are off campus, and the resource limits access to Library patrons, you will be prompted to enter your last name, "L" number, and ExpressLane password.
  3. If you are in the Library's database as a student, staff member, or community borrower you will be connected to the online resource.

Database and Electronic Journals Password List
For resources that require passwords or if you are having difficulty accessing the online resources using the method described above.

  1. Connect to the databases and e-journals catalog record
  2. In the catalog record under "Web Resource", click "Database Password List."

  3. If an information box asks whether or not to display nonsecure items, select yes, otherwise the page may not display correctly (your personal data IS secure).
  4. You will be prompted to enter your last name, "L" number, AND ExpressLane password.
