CEO of the Year

Lane Community College President Mary Spilde was named 2011 CEO of the Year by the Association of Community College Trustees. She was selected from five regional award winners nominated from among the 1,200 colleges in the U.S., Canada, and other countries served by ACCT. She is past president of the American Association of Community Colleges and is a well-known national and international authority on community colleges, workforce development, and sustainability.

It took a battle with colon cancer for David Sullivan to find his planned giving opportunity with the LCC Foundation.

While hospitalized in 2003, Sullivan got to know a group of student nurses from Lane Community College. "I was very impressed with the quality of the students and the way they went about their work," he recalls.
