Started in 1975 in Dick and
Pat Turanki’s garage with the
dream of providing natural,
healthy ingredients for our area,
GloryBee Foods has grown to
a company that has a staff of
140 employees. The staff is a
diverse family of conscientious,
dedicated and knowledgeable
individuals, who are committed
to quality and personalized
customer service. Their unique
relationship with the customer
is of paramount importance to
them and the delivery of superior
customer service is woven through
the message of their mission
statement.
The company has just opened
a new distribution center on
Highway 99 and is keeping its
production center at 120 North
Seneca in Eugene. “As we get
larger it becomes more important
to sew the values into our daily
thinking. We have to work harder
to take care of our employees
and our customers,” says RaeJean
Wilson, HR Director. GloryBee
made the decision to invest in
their employees to keep the
ideals of the company front and
center. Lane Community College’s
Employee Training Department
was recommended to her as an
answer to the training needs
for the company. After meeting
with the education coordinators,
GloryBee set up an Excel Training
and Customer Service training.
The success of the training can
best be summed up in words from
GloryBee’s staff. “It is exciting to
partner with a great organization
in our community that is assisting
GloryBee with improving our
standards and training our
employees. The service and follow
up we received from LCC and
the people we worked with was
amazing. They did a great job.
Our employees felt the trainings
were engaging and fun. Many
employees have asked if they can
get more training in the future
through LCC. “
The SBDC Employee Training
program at Lane Community College
