The group received an additional section for their binders.  Section VII:  Budget Components, an index page, and list of BAG membership.

The BAG charter was reviewed.  Marie emphasized that the groupís purpose is to form a liaison with the Budget Leaders (vice presidents, the president, and the assistant to the president), and the Budget Committee (7 board members, and 7 budget committee members) and to provide advise to the Budget Leaders on the annual college budget developmental process and the substance of the budget.  The group also becomes a knowledgeable budget resource for the staff in areas that they represent

>>Marie asked the group to familiarize themselves with the following:
     1. Budgeting terms that are in the binder under Section VI, Glossary of Terms. 
     2. Budget Principles and Criteria (Section II-7)
     3. Proposed Financial Strategies (Section II-1_
     4. Review the 2000-01 Budget Document (available from the Budget Office, ADM 202 ,X2363)

Marie reviewed and ìgradedî(how she felt the college was doing) the Proposed Financial Strategies.  

• Group to go over the strategies before the next meeting and be prepared to discuss ways to clearly define those strategies that require more definition or explanation.

The next meeting will be Thursday, November 2, 3PM, in Apprenticeship 217.
