Assessment of Learning

Lane identifies and publishes expected learning outcomes for each of its degree and certificate programs. Through regular and systematic assessment, Lane continues to demonstrate that students who complete programs, no matter where or how they are offered, achieve these outcomes.

Lane’s institutional policy for assessing learning relies upon the above framework, including four types of assessment data serving different purposes within Lane's Mission, Vision, Core Values, and Strategic Directions:

• Class-based assessment
• Program/Discipline assessment
  and Lane's General Education Rationale and Core Abilities (.pdf)
• Program review
• Institutional effectiveness
